Canklow is located in West Rotherham and is well known as a postcode discriminated area where there are high levels of vacant properties, cleared sites awaiting regeneration, poor environmental issues and an overall poor perception of the area. The area is surrounded by green space and woodland, a major asset to this area.

The scheme is to regenerate a deprived brown field site to provide 71 low cost properties for part ownership and rent to achieve an excellent eco rating and meet requirements of secured by design.
