10 new private homes, Suffolk

Name of project

10 new private homes

Project requirements

A unique collection of 10 private new homes in a charming village close to the vibrant county town of Ipswich required timeless aesthetics to meet the architectural style of its surroundings with materials and systems that would deliver the highest levels of thermal and acoustic performance.

Elegant, made-to-order Conservation™ Georgian-style sash windows and flush casements with glazing bars have been used throughout the development. Many attractive design features include casements with arched heads; some in a bay formation and others with elegant Gothic-style glazing bars. Semi-glazed French doorsets leading to generous 360° gardens feature strongly, while a range of entrance door styles, some partially glazed, with and without fixed side lights and fanlight grilles, allow maximum light ingress.

Conservation™ windows are made to the exacting standards of the British Woodworking Federation’s WWA scheme and are BRE A+ rated offering outstanding levels of thermal and acoustic performance. Mumford & Wood’s windows and doors are manufactured from premium grade Siberian larch which is engineered for maximum strength and stability to help ensure long lasting aesthetics and performance, while at the same time achieving a perfect factory-finished surface typical of fine joinery.
